ABSENTEE BIDDING
Online Absentee Bid Form PDF
Absentee Bid Form |
| How much should I bid? |
That's entirely up to you, but as a standard rule, you should indicate the
largest amount that you are willing to pay. Keep in mind, if you're
placing bids for more than one item, you could be the winning bidder
for all of them, therefore, Walker's cautions you not to surpass the overall
total that you're willing to pay, or be sure to give instructions - example
"If I get this, don't bid on lot #XXX". Our staff will attempt to
execute your bid at the lowest amount possible, as determined by the reserve
and/or competing bids for that lot. Please bear in mind that in
addition to the successful bid amount, the buyer is required to pay a
buyer's premium and applicable sales taxes. Shipping costs will also
be the buyer's responsibility.
|
| Can I bid any amount? |
Yes, but Walker's may contact you for clarification purposes. In
deciding how much to bid, please keep in mind that some property is subject to a
reserve (minimum). If the reserve is not met, the auctioneer reserves the
right to "pass" on the item.
|
| Can I change or cancel a bid? |
Walker's requires a minimum notice of twenty-four (24) hours before the sale,
and Walker's must confirm that such notification has been received on time.
Notification can be provided by telephone, facsimile, email or in person.
|
| How will Walker's notify me after the auction? |
Walker's will contact all successful bidders as soon as possible, which is
normally the next business day. However, due to the hectic nature of the
sales, a longer period of time may be necessary to notify winning bidders.

Telephone Bid Form |
| Is there a charge for telephone
bidding? |
Walker's does not charge a fee for bidding
services, however, long distance phone charges may be applied to your
invoice.
|
| What is an "Emergency Back-Up" bid? |
Walker's cannot accept any liability for a failure
to reach you - due to telephone difficulties or unforeseen circumstances.
You may wish to consider an "Emergency Back-Up" bid which is a pre-arranged
bid amount that a Walker's representative may execute on your behalf in the
event that you cannot be reached by telephone when your item comes up for
auction. |
